Our Call to Duty; Nov 4th Let Our Voices Ring Loud and Clear

Folks - Election day is almost upon us. Last chance to call and make sure all our friends and family are educated on the issues and going to cast their votes!

The polls are tightening and I expect that the race will shake up the media and Obama camp come Nov 4th. Their expectation is an Obama win but with each day that passes, we see the McCain /Palin  message getting out. Everyday Obama, Biden and their surrogates stumble exposing bit's and piece's of their true ticket philosophy. The light of truth is being cast on their far left, liberal agenda.

The tide has turned and independents are breaking towards McCain. Hillary Puma's continue to come out in support of our ticket as they've  grown disillusioned with what is essentially the high jacking of the Democrat party. We can and Will see victory come Nov 4th  if we stick together and fight for our country!

We all MUST get out and vote. No excuses. Too much is at stake. Not only the Presidential race but every other local and national races as we try to block the likes of Pelosi, Dodd and Frank. We must not let the ultra Liberals control our Federal Gov. In addition their are too many issues on the ballots to stay home and let our voices be silenced by apathy.

We must fight to preserve our Constitution, and Bill of Rights , We must fight to keep America free for our children's futures. We must fight to put America back in the hands of the people. We must fight to reduce Government waste and bloated government bureaucracies that do not work and squander our hard earned money. Lets start with getting rid of Acorn ...They get 40% of their funding from our tax dollars. Our money is being misused and under an Obama administration -with Pelosi, Dodd and Frank we can expect that ACORN will get a fiancial raise for their efforts on behalf of the Democratic party. That is just one example.

The race may be tight but McCain is the true and tested Come Back Kid and the last few weeks have shown that we have the Obama campaign right where we want them ..foolishly measuring for the Oval office for drapes and spending millions for another over the top election night party. Their arrogance knows no bounds -they are counting their ACORN votes even now but we will not allow them this win... We will honor those who came before us, who fought and died to give us our Liberty. We will not allow this election to be stolen without a  fight. OUR VOICES WILL BE HEARD!

Attempts to Attack the Palin Effect: Left Wing Media Trying to Pit Working Women Against Palin Over Her Ward Robe?

This is more senseless use of media time when more important issues are at stake. I am a photographer. In my life I have worked behind the scenes with the fashion and movie industry and to some extent within the political scene.  This whole "news" story questioning Palins campaign wardrobe seems to me to be another attempt by the left wing media to stir up class warfair. They are attempting to CREATE a news story, CREATE a controversy..in short they are attempting to pit working women against Palin by stirring up what they hope will be wardrobe envy rather than cover substantive issues.

I have already read one woman post on a blog that she has to pay for her own clothes to go to work so why shouldn't Palin.  I say she is taking the media bait.

Let us be honest with ourselves. I can assure you that most of us ladies would not kick anyone one to the curb for offering to dress us and give us a makeover. All the more so if we had to be under the intense scrutiny of the media and world at large where public opinion is formed on first impressions and dressing for the job you want.

Palin being given the opportunity to wear a "new" (yet temporary) power wardrobe, paid for by the Republican Party and destined to be auctioned or given away for charity in no scandal. Palin is the only one of the four Presidential candidates that is not considered a millionaire so the party flipped the bill. No big deal. It is part of the cost of running for office in a media driven age where image and photogenic's are unfortunately too important to allow any detail of attire go to chance.

In my business the women I work with wear clothe that are far more expensive than what I or most American women can afford to wear. The attitude in Manhattan, Hollywood and the Washington Beltway is that image is everything which makes it tough for me when working in my industry at times.

I have long lamented how much more it costs to be a well heeled working woman when compared to the men I work with. Dressing for success when you are a woman tends to cost a great deal more. Season to season it changes as well. A man can get away with a 3 suits, 5 dress shirts, a sports jacket, 4 or 5 pairs of dress shoes, 4-5 belts and a large quantity of ties to give him a fresh new look everyday of the year. McCain, Obama, Biden can wear the same suite on every stop on the campaign trail. After a quick press, fresh shirt and a change of tie they are good to go ..Not so for women candidates.

One of the things I noted about Palin when I first started following her career almost 2 years ago, was that she dressed conservatively. Her style was that of the average working women in America. Evidently she only spent a moderate amount of money on her own clothes. She had some mix an match pieces and very few suits. She frequently campaigned in Alaska wearing snow pants and fleece. Her jewelry is modest as well. A polar bear pin, a flag pin and a black and cream bracelet that she wears with most outfits. Palin's personal wardrobe is representative of her frugal personality and reflects her modest use of the family budget. Palin's two favorite stores: A second hand clothing consignment store called The Closet and a place called Shoe Fly in Juno Alaska..Not designer racks.

Palin's personal frugality is indicative of her frugal mindset when it comes to running her personal house hold and how she approaches running the Government.

It is evident that she believes in cutting costs and minimizing expenses. This speaks well of her and her personal wardrobe is really a more accurate representation of her than the campaigns wardrobe. That said I understand why Palin needed to dress it up for the campaign. Lets face it - Image matters. Dressing for the Job you want is important. Palin has to look like a Power Player. All the Candidates need to and in a society that is increasingly judging candidates by their appearance over substance this is a sad fact that has to be accepted.

Lets get real ....The same elitist who offer their criticism of Palin for wearing these high dollar "borrowed' clothes would have poked fun at her for not dressing the part of a Washington power player and dismissed her for looking like a light weight had she met with foreign dignitaries wearing a consignment store suit from her personal wardrobe.

The elite media, who are the first to push for a candidate to look the part by creating the required professional image, are the same people who are so eager to point the finger at Palin. The hypocrisy of the media story, is that it infers that Sarah Palin somehow should not have allowed the Republican Party to sponsor a new ward robe for her to wear when on the road . Yet this is the same media that is so fond of using these words to describe a candidate : " They look Presidential"  and for Sarah Palin to cut mustard with the highly critical media she has to "Look like a Vice President".

But the height of hypocrisy is that these are the same elite's who we see at fashion week, or on the red carpet or at the after parties have no problem accepting the Goodie bags containing thousands of dollars of high fashion promo products at the awards simply for being part of an IN CROWD.

As a photographer and someone who at one time worked with media I guarantee that image whether you are a politician or a celebrity is considered, rightly or wrongly,  to be of utmost importance.

Does anyone question when celebrities on the red carpet get to wear dresses and jewelry that they did not pay for? No they say it is about image. Models frequently get to keep some of the clothe they wore for a shoot. No one screams it is unfair.
Palin will not keep the clothe. They will be given to charity. Personal I would not have a problem in seeing her keep them. I have seen some very rich spoiled celebrities get freebies and so for once it is a working class woman. If I had the chance to get a make over and some new clothes I would jump on it. Just because someone has not offered that to me does not mean I would deny her the opportunity.

Enough media hypocrisy, enough envy, enough wasted time on a story with no legitimate legs. Hey lets talk about the $68,000,000.00 questionable donations from foreign sources given to the Obama campaign... Oh yeah that won't work ...The media at large is more interested in are trying to help him secure a Nov. win by running rag pieces on Gov. Palin, and Cindy McCain.

Obama: Just another Mule in a Horses Harness

Having spend hours and hours studying the candidates through out the primaries- pouring through journals, scouring the Internet for government legislative records, reviewing the candidates voting records and comparing their stump speeches throughout the election with an eye towards flip flopping on issues I suspect I spend more time than the average voters on trying to determine who was being forth right. I have even discovered that the so called fact checkers get it wrong so I have made it a point to go to the actual pieces of legislative to confirm the veracity of the the various candidates claims.

Having said that I really respect that McCain continues to challenge us to look into his record. I can understand why he hopes voters will do as he asks because those who do will see that he does in fact have a clear record of breaking with his own party on key pieces of legislation and bucking the status quo when it comes to government overspending. This is a man who in fact has NEVER once asked for a single piece of pork barrel spending in his entire career as a Congressman or as a Senator.

Regarding Obama I can tell he has a legal background -he is smooth communicator but his words seem very measured and calculated. I was somewhat surprised to see that he was presenting as part of his plan to deal with the economy something's that I had heard McCain and Palin say over the past few weeks. Mind you, he used his own words to make the a point but the point was originally made by McCain and Palin.

How many times have we heard McCain say that he wants to keep, the $700,000,000.00 dollars that we are sending abroad to countries that do not like us very much, here in America by becoming energy independent? Tonight Obama added that to his proposal. He did casually as if it had always been a part of his plan. He almost quoted Mccain verbatim. Lets not forget that Obama has only recently come around to the idea of drilling at all. In the last debate he could barely force himself to say that he would drill for oil. Tonight he was talking about drilling and drilling right away. Again those sentiments ranked VERY HIGHLY with the focus groups and Palin and McCain both have gotten points for drilling that message home so could it be said that Obama is cherry picking whatever seems popular with the voters?

For example, last weeks Palin received exceptionally high marks from the focus groups when she addressed the impact of the economy on the middle class. Tonight, I heard Obama say something very similar to what Palin had said in the VP debate. Prior to the VP debates he never said anything remotely like it his stump speeches. Did he lick his finger and hold it up to the wind or did he see that what Palin said resonated with middle America? Was Obama once again cherry picking?

In both Presidential debates I noted something interesting. Two times in particular when McCain was up first and gave particularly in depth foreign policy responses. Obama responded saying" I actually agree with Sen McCain " and then he rephrased it a bit and fluffed it out with more wordy words but added nothing of genuine depth. He also did this several times when debating Hillary Clinton during the primaries. I have come to believe that it is an attempt by Obama to appear more knowledgeable on the subject by riding piggy back on the more sophisticated and thought out response that McCain and Hillary Clinton could bring to the issue. In the first McCain-Obama debate I watched Obamas face, as McCain delivered a complex, detailed response and I found myself wondering if Obama actually even fully understood what McCain was saying.

Having studied Obamas voting records, speeches and so forth it seems he is forever altering his policy by cherry picking whatever policies seem popular with the voters. What then does this man actually believe? Will he always rule by defaulting to whatever is politically expedient or will he be able to make tough choice in our best interest?
This makes me nervous. Yes, Obama is a very skilled speaker, he is young and charismatic but does he have the judgement, experience, authenticity that we want in a President?  I have to ask because other issues not brought up in this debate require that I must..Is Obama being fully honest with us?  The dark spectors of Terrorist William Ayres, the racist hate monger Jeremiah Wright who Obama claimed for 20 years was his close Spiritual advisor, the Hammas endorsement of Obama's canidacy, the illegal campaign contribution from a Palestinian group that had to be returned. Certainly lets not forget the Freddy and Fannie funds that were sent his way or his connection to Acorn... the list of associates and questionable dealings goes on and on and i have only begun to scratch the surface.

I keep remembering the wisdom of my grandmother regarding symbolism over substance. "You can put a shinny horses saddle and fancy horse harness on a mule but despite the fancy dress it is still just a mule in a horses harness." McCain on the other hand may not be a show horse, but he is work horse and his records show that he is defintly not a big bloated government mule.

Rep. Alcee Hastings Uses Bigoted Statements to Attack Palin and Instill Fear Among Jews and Blacks

"(CNN) – Rep. Alcee Hastings told an audience of Jewish Democrats Wednesday that they should be wary of Republican VP nominee Sarah Palin because “anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks.”
“If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention,”

Did he actually Say that? Shockingly Yes,  Rep. Alcee Hastings of Florida said this is speech to a panel about the shared agenda of Jewish and African-American Democrats on Wednesday. Talk about race baiting and and presenting a nonsensical argument. It is vile and bigoted for him to suggest that gun owners and hunters should be viewed as a threat against Jews and Blacks. I am stunned and outraged that the media did not call more attention to this. Rep. Hastings words are irresponsible and stoop to a new low. In addition, it is repugnant for him to single out Palin and suggest that because she hunts -she is somehow a racist. This is preposterous but not entirely new. Dems and Libs tried this already when they pointed to a photo of her wearing a Pat Buchanan button on her lapel when then as a Presidential candidate he had come to visit the Town of Wasila. As Mayor She agreed with him on some domestic issues but was actively campaigning for Steve Forbes. So this attack fell flat when all the facts came out.

Palin is in fact on record for being a strong supporter of Israel. She has also shown a great deal of support to a the small Jewish community in Alaska. She did not do this because she needed every vote or was trying to pander, she did it because she is a sincere supporter.

In the spring a decorated Israeli War hero turned film maker decided to do a story on Sarah Palin which was to be a part of a documentary on extraordinary women. Elan Frank, has stated with absolute clarity that he was impressed by Palin. He also spoke of her having a Israel Flag on the wall of her office. When he asked her about it she said she loved Israel and that friends who had gone there had bought her the flag.

Elan Frank is man who has risked his life to save the lives of others. He is man with strong views He is, as his friend David Suissa writes "an independent who's staunchly pro-Israel, and whose primary concern as a voter is the global threat of nuclear-based terrorism." Suissa goes on to tell us that Elan Frank "was awarded the Medal of Honor in 1982 after he rescued 25 Israeli soldiers caught in a nighttime terrorist ambush deep inside Lebanon. The conditions were so risky that Frank's co-pilot suggested they abort the mission. Frank ignored the advice, and under intense enemy fire, he made a daredevil 360 degree move to speed up the helicopter's landing and rescue the troops."

This is a man who remains in the Israeli reserves as a pilot even to this day. He is a patriot who loves America and Israel. Elan Frank is also no fool and in his evaluation "Sarah Palin is a very special woman. She has a tranquility about her, no matter what the situation is, she is a "natural-born leader"  According to his friend David Suissa who wrote  a super article entitled Shooting Sarah Palin, Elan is "not overly worried about Palin's lack of experience on the world stage. He's seen too many "experienced" and worldly politicians fall flat on their faces, and he sees in Palin a "natural-born leader" with good intuition who knows how to ask the right questions."

"Suissa goes on to write that Elan Frank " thinks Palin is the opposite of what they call in Israel a "freyer" (a sucker or a fool), meaning that she'll see right through the deceptive tactics of sneaky lizards like Ahmadinejad of Iran or Assad of Syria, who he believes would outmatch a well-intentioned and articulate diplomat like Barack Obama.

So yes, Frank seems to have fallen under her spell. But Frank is no freyer himself. This is a war hero who spent seven years in the Israeli army fighting a wily foe. He knows all about deception. He doesn't trust easily. He can tell real from fake and tough from soft.

If Sarah Palin is anything, he says, she's real and tough.

And in a dangerous world, Frank sees the appeal of a lioness who's real and tough. Especially a lioness who learns quickly, loves her country and hates to lose. "

I have not heard if Frank endorses either candidate however according to his friend he appears to have strong opinions. I have taken the liberty of quoting more from the Suissa Article. I would encourage you to go to the links I have attached at the end of this posting to read the entire article as well as the Speech Palin was to have given to at the UN protest rally. She is no anti Semite and to suggest other wise fly's patently in the face of facts.

The New York Sun printed the Speech Palin which was to have delivered at the UN Rally protesting Ahmadinejad of Iran, before Hilary pulled out and organizers caved and univited Palin.

Palins speech was strong, direct and bipartisan. She credited Hilary for her strong statements and condemned Ahmadinejad.

"Tomorrow, Ahmadinejad will come to New York. On our soil, he will exercise the right of freedom of speech — a right he denies his own people. He will share his hateful agenda with the world. Our task is to focus the world on what can be done to stop him......President Ahmadinejad should be held accountable for inciting genocide, a crime under international law...... Senator McCain has made a solemn commitment that I strongly endorse: Never again will we risk another Holocaust. And this is not a wish, a request, or a plea to Israel's enemies. This is a promise that the United States and Israel will honor, against any enemy who cares to test us. It is John McCain's promise and it is my promise."

Regardless of ones political affiliation - Sarah Palin does not deserve this type of slanderous attacks from hate mongers like Rep. Alcee Hastings.

Governor Palin Speech to UN Protest Rally Would Have Been Great

I think that uninviting Palin to speak at the rally protesting the appearance here of President Ahmadinejad of Iran. was very unfortunate. Hillary had a chance to go and she choose not to because she found out Palin would be there. Would it have been any more or less political to allow Palin to speak with or without Hillary in attendance? It tells me that some strong Democrat lobbiests put pressure to have Palin uninvited.

I also ask you why Obama did not attend or at the very least send Joe Biden. Could it be that Obama has been playing both sides of the field with regards to Israel and Iran. Just as he voted present rather than yes or no on some of those most controversial pieces of legislation perhaps he did not want his ticket going on the record.

Sarah Palins speech was printed in the New York Sun- Great speech ! No wonder the Obama campaign did not want her to speak .
She was to present a bipartisan speech, a strong uniting speech and a speech which clearly spells out the dangers that we face on a global level.

The speech concluded with a promise:

"Senator McCain has made a solemn commitment that I strongly endorse: Never again will we risk another Holocaust. And this is not a wish, a request, or a plea to Israel's enemies. This is a promise that the United States and Israel will honor, against any enemy who cares to test us. It is John McCain's promise and it is my promise."
