What Would You Ask Obama if You Could...And Would he Tell You Straight?

Comment by Mark Johnston

I did not listen to Senator Obama’s ad personally, but I have a few questions for him. Why are you measuring the drapes for the Oval Office, the election is still days away? Why are you so touchy about your past, will it reveal embarassing secrets that will make you unelectable? If your plans are the only ones that are right for America while will they raise taxes, the sure result of raising taxes on buisnesses and corporations as well as removing them from our borders?

We need a candidate that is frank and honest to the American people. We need a proven leader to guide our nation through these difficult times. That is why I am supporting Senator John McCain for President of the United States of America in 2009 and hope that we can fix the mess and tangled web of

AP Fact Checks Obama Infomercial.....He is living in Economic Never Never Land

FACT CHECK: Obama Ad Avoids Budget Realities

The Associated Press takes a look at the details in Obama's prime-time ad

WASHINGTON -- Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was less than upfront in his half-hour commercial Wednesday night about the costs of his programs and the crushing budgetAP  pressures he would face in office.

Obama's assertion that "I've offered spending cuts above and beyond" the expense of his promises is accepted only by his partisans. His vow to save money by "eliminating programs that don't work" masks his failure throughout the campaign to specify what those programs are -- beyond the withdrawal of troops from Iraq.

A sampling of what voters heard in the ad, and what he didn't tell them:

THE SPIN: "That's why my health care plan includes improving information technology, requires coverage for preventive care and pre-existing conditions and lowers health care costs for the typical family by $2,500 a year."

THE FACTS: His plan does not lower premiums by $2,500, or any set amount. Obama hopes that by spending $50 billion over five years on electronic medical records and by improving access to proven disease management programs, among other steps, consumers will end up saving money. He uses an optimistic analysis to suggest cost reductions in national health care spending could amount to the equivalent of $2,500 for a family of four. Many economists are skeptical those savings can be achieved, but even if they are, it's not a certainty that every dollar would be passed on to consumers in the form of lower premiums.

THE SPIN: "I also believe every American has a right to affordable health care."

THE FACTS: That belief should not be confused with a guarantee of health coverage for all. He makes no such promise. Obama hinted as much in the ad when he said about the problem of the uninsured: "I want to start doing something about it." He would mandate coverage for children but not adults. His program is aimed at making insurance more affordable by offering the choice of government-subsidized coverage similar to that in a plan for federal employees and other steps, including requiring larger employers to share costs of insuring workers.

THE SPIN: "I've offered spending cuts above and beyond their cost."

THE FACTS: Independent analysts say both Obama and Republican John McCain would deepen the deficit. The nonpartisan Committee for a Responsible Federal Budget estimates Obama's policy proposals would add a net $428 billion to the deficit over four years -- and that analysis accepts the savings he claims from spending cuts. The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center, whose other findings have been quoted approvingly by the Obama campaign, says: "Both John McCain and Barack Obama have proposed tax plans that would substantially increase the national debt over the next 10 years." The analysis goes on to say: "Neither candidate's plan would significantly increase economic growth unless offset by spending cuts or tax increases that the campaigns have not specified."

THE SPIN: "Here's what I'll do. Cut taxes for every working family making less than $200,000 a year. Give businesses a tax credit for every new employee that they hire right here in the U.S. over the next two years and eliminate tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas. Help homeowners who are making a good faith effort to pay their mortgages, by freezing foreclosures for 90 days. And just like after 9-11, we'll provide low-cost loans to help small businesses pay their workers and keep their doors open. "

THE FACTS: His proposals -- the tax cuts, the low-cost loans, the $15 billion a year he promises for alternative energy, and more -- cost money, and the country could be facing a record $1 trillion deficit next year. Indeed, Obama recently acknowledged -- although not in his commercial -- that: "The next president will have to scale back his agenda and some of his proposals."

LA Times Refusing to Allow the American People See Video Of Obama, Ayers and a Full House of Other Radicals at a Party Held In Honor of Rashid Khalidi PLO Mouth Piece

Should The LA Times release the video tape for the public to see before Election day?

I always heard that the media could protect their source by not saying who gave them info but in this case they are with holding the info itself. If they fully covered the meeting with out leaving out anything then what would it hurt? By withholding the video it tells me that some facts must not have made it to print or they would have nothing to hide.

Ok, So the LA Time claims that they promised not to show it to anyone. If that is true, then it is logical to assume that the reason for inhibiting free viewing would be to hide information that is on the video tape and release only selective facts via print media that they wished to disclose. If this were not so …If it were only reflective of the information that the LA Times wrote in their article then what would be the harm of letting us see it? It would not tell us who supplied them with the video so that defense does not seem to hold water? Question wasn’t this video supplied to them during the primaries - Could Hillary or another Democrat candidate have been the source? Not that I would have blamed any of them for doing so. What other source would have had access to the video to begin with? Why withhold it now?

The LA Time should allow us to see the unedited video so that we the voters, the American Public, can judge what we thought of the content and of Obama’s conduct.
It is not just about what Obama said but perhaps more about how he reacted to what was being said and what he didn’t say, that perhaps he should have said.

I would like to see for myself if there is footage of Obama’s face and his reactions to the hate speech that was being spewed in the form of anti-Israel poetry.

Did Obama look indifferent? Did he agree or did he seem disgusted? If he was offended by what was being said wasn’t he obligated ( using his own measure and words here..) to repudiate this hate full talk.

Also, from what I hear, there were a number of people at this going away party also tearing apart our country for standing with Israel. Did he find it politically expedient to let it go with out speaking out to defend our national policies?

Was he sitting next to Ayers or some other radical ? We don’t know because once again — the elite media is deciding what we need to know.. The LA Times is being a filter…they act as if we are to stupid and simple minded to read between the lines and judge for ourselves what we think of Obama. They endorsed Obama, so now I would suggest they have a conflict of interest and they officially have a dog in the fight.

Small Business Owner Sounds the Alarm: Obama is No Friend to Entreprenures

Posted on Saturday, October 25, 2008 6:06:19 AM by tnye

Mr. Obama,

Given the uproar about the simple question asked you by Joe the plumber, and the persecution that has been heaped on him because he dared to question you, I find myself motivated to say a few things to you myself. While Joe aspires to start a business someday, I already have started not one, but 4 businesses. But first, let me introduce myself. You can call me "Cory the well driller". I am a 54 year old high school graduate. I didn't go to college like you, I was too ready to go "conquer the world" when I finished high school. 25 years ago at age 29, I started my own water well drilling business at a time when the economy here in East Texas was in a tailspin from the crash of the early 80's oil boom. I didn't get any help from the government, nor did I look for any. I borrowed what I could from my sister, my uncle, and even the pawn shop and managed to scrape together a homemade drill rig and a few tools to do my first job. My businesses did not start as a result of privilege. They are the result of my personal drive, personal ambition, self discipline, self reliance, and a determination to treat my customers fairly. From the very start my business provided one other (than myself) East Texan a full time job. I couldn't afford a backhoe the first few years (something every well drilling business had), so I and my helper had to dig the mud pits that are necessary for each and every job with hand shovels. I had to use my 10 year old, 1/2 ton pickup truck for my water tank truck (normally a job for at least a 2 ton truck).

A year and a half after I started the business, I scraped together a 20% down payment to get a modest bank loan and bought a (28 year) old, worn out, slightly bigger drilling rig to allow me to drill the deeper water wells in my area. I spent the next few years drilling wells with the rig while simultaneously rebuilding it between jobs. Through these years I never knew from one month to the next if I would have any work or be able to pay the bills. I got behind on my income taxes one year, and spent the next two years paying that back (with penalty and interest) while keeping up with ongoing taxes. I got behind on my water well supply bill 2 different years (way behind the second time... $80,000.00), and spent over a year paying it back (each time) while continuing to pay for ongoing supplies C.O.D.. Of course, the personal stress endured through these experiences and years is hard to measure. I do have a stent in my heart now to memorialize it all.

I spent the next 10 years developing the reputation for being the most competent and most honest water well driller in East Texas. 2 years along the way, I hired another full time employee for the drilling business so that we could provide full time water well pump service as well as the well drilling. Also, 3 years along the path, I bought a water well screen service machine from a friend, starting business # 2. 5 years later I made a business loan for $100,000.00 to build a new, higher production, computer controlled screen service machine. I had designed the machine myself, and it didn't work out for 3 years so I had to make the loan payments without the benefit of any added income from the new machine. No government program was there to help me with the payments, or to help me sleep at night as I lay awake wondering how I would solve my machine problems or pay my bills. Finally, after 3 years, I got the screen machine working properly, and that provided another full time job for an East Texan in the screen service business.

2 years after that, I made another business loan, this time for $250,000.00, to buy another used drilling rig and all the support equipment needed to run another, larger, drill rig. This provided another 2 full time jobs for East Texans. Again, I spent a couple of years not knowing if I had made a smart move, or a move that would bankrupt me. For the third time in 13 years, I had placed everything I owned on the line, risking everything, in order to build a business.

A couple of years into this, I came up with a bright idea for a new kind of mud pump, a fundamentally necessary pump used on water well drill rigs. I spent my entire life savings to date (just $30,000.00), building a prototype of the pump and took it to the national water well convention to show it off. Customers immediately started coming out of the woodworks to buy the pumps, but there was a problem. I had depleted my assets making the prototype, and nobody would make me a business loan to start production of the new pumps. With several deposits for pump orders in hand, and nowhere to go, I finally started applying for as many credit card as I could find and took cash withdrawals on these cards to the tune of over $150,000.00 (including modest loans from my dear sister and brother), to get this 3rd business going.

Yes, once again, I had everything hanging over the line in an effort to start another business. I had never manufactured anything, and I had to design and bring into production a complex hydraulic machine from an untested prototype to a reliable production model (in six months). How many nights I lay awake wondering if I had just made the paramount mistake of my life I cannot tell you, but there were plenty. I managed to get the pumps into production, which immediately created another 2 full time jobs in East Texas. Some of the models in the first year suffered from quality issues due to the poor workmanship of one of my key suppliers, so I and an employee (another East Texan employed) had to drive across the country to repair customers' pumps, practically from coast to coast. I stood behind the product, and made payments to all the credit cards that had financed me (and my brother and sister). I spent the next 5 years improving and refining the product, building a reputation for the pump and the company, working to get the pump into drill rig manufacturers' product lines, and paying back credit cards. During all this time I continued to manage a growing water well business that was now operating 3 drill rig crews, and 2 well service crews. Also, the screen service business continued to grow. No government programs were there to help me, Mr. Obama, but that's ok, I didn't expect any, nor did I want any. I was too busy fighting to make success happen to sit around waiting for the government to help me.

Now, we have been manufacturing the mud pumps for 7 years, my combined businesses employ 32 full time employees, and distribute $5,000,000.00 annually through the local economy. Now, just 4 months ago I borrowed $1,254,000.00, purchasing computer controlled machining equipment to start my 4th business, a production machine shop. The machine shop will serve the mud pump company so that we can better manufacture our pumps that are being shipped worldwide. Of course, the machine shop will also do work for outside companies as well. This has already produced 2 more full time jobs, and 2 more should develop out of it in the next few months. This should work out, but if it doesn't it will be because you, and the other professional politicians like yourself, will have destroyed our countrys' (and the world) economy with your meddling with mortgage loan programs through your liberal manipulation and intimidation of loaning institutions to make sure that unqualified borrowers could get mortgages. You see, at the very time when I couldn't get a business loan to get my mud pumps into production, you were working with Acorn and the Community Reinvestment Act programs to make sure that unqualified borrowers could buy homes with no down payment, and even no credit or worse yet, bad credit. Even the infamous, liberal, Ninja loans (No Income, No Job or Assets). While these unqualified borrowers were enjoying unrealistically low interest rates, I was paying 22% to 24% interest on the credit cards that I had used to provide me the funds for the mud pump business that has created jobs for more East Texans. It's funny, because after 25 years of turning almost every dime of extra money back into my businesses to grow them, it has been only in the last two years that I have finally made enough money to be able to put a little away for retirement, and now the value of that has dropped 40% because of the policies you and your ilk have perpetrated on our country.

You see, Mr. Obama, I'm the guy you intend to raise taxes on. I'm the guy who has spent 25 years toiling and sweating, fretting and fighting, stressing and risking, to build a business and get ahead. I'm the guy who has been on the very edge of bankruptcy more than a dozen times over the last 25 years, and all the while creating more and more jobs for East Texans who didn't want to take a risk, and would not demand from themselves what I have demanded from myself. I'm the guy you characterize as "the Americans who can afford it the most" that you believe should be taxed more to provide income redistribution "to spread the wealth" to those who have never toiled, sweated, fretted, fought, stressed, or risked anything. You want to characterize me as someone who has enjoyed a life of privilege and who needs to pay a higher percentage of my income than those who have bought into your entitlement culture. I resent you, Mr. Obama, as I resent all who want to use class warfare as a tool to advance their political career. What's worse, each year more Americans buy into your liberal entitlement culture, and turn to the government for their hope of a better life instead of themselves. Liberals are succeeding through more than 40 years of collaborative effort between the predominant liberal media, and liberal indoctrination programs in the public school systems across our land.

What is so terribly sad about this is this. America was made great by people who embraced the one-time American culture of self reliance, self motivation, self determination, self discipline, personal betterment, hard work, risk taking. A culture built around the concept that success was in reach of every able bodied American who would strive for it. Each year that less Americans embrace that culture, we all descend together. We descend down the socialist path that has brought country after country ultimately to bitter and unremarkable states. If you and your liberal comrades in the media and school systems would spend half as much effort cultivating a culture of can-do across America as you do cultivating your entitlement culture, we could see Americans at large embracing the conviction that they can elevate themselves through personal betterment, personal achievement, and self reliance. You see, when people embrace such ideals, they act on them. When people act on such ideals, they succeed. All of America could find herself elevating instead of deteriorating. But that would eliminate the need for liberal politicians, wouldn't it, Mr. Obama? The country would not need you if the country was convinced that problem solving was best left with individuals instead of the government. You and all your liberal comrades have got a vested interested in creating a dependent class in our country. It is the very business of liberals to create an ever expanding dependence on government. What's remarkable is that you, who have never produced a job in your life, are going to tax me to take more of my money and give it to people who wouldn't need my money if they would get off their entitlement mentality asses and apply themselves at work, demand more from themselves, and quit looking to liberal politicians to raise their station in life.

You see, I know because I've had them work for me before. Hundreds of them over these 25 years. People who simply will not show up to work on time. People who just will not work 5 days in a week, much less, 6 days. People always looking for a way to put less effort out. People who actually tell me that they would do more if I just would first pay them more. People who take off work to sit in government offices to apply to get free government handouts (gee, I wonder how things would have turned out for them if they had spent that time earning money and pleasing their employer?). You see, all of this comes from your entitlement mentality culture.

Oh, I know you will say I am uncompassionate. Sorry, Mr. Obama, wrong again. You see, I've seen what the average percentage of your income has been given to charities over the years of 2000 to 2004 (ignoring the years you started running for office - can you pronounce "politically motivated"), you averaged less than 1% annually. And your running mate, Joe Biden, averaged less than ¼% of his annual income in charitable contributions over the last 10 years. Like so many liberals, the two of you want to give to the needy, just as long as it is someone else's money you are giving to them. I won't say what I have given to charities over the last 25 years, but the percentage is several times more than you and Joe Biden. combined (don't you just hate google?). Tell me again how you feel my pain.

In short, Mr. Obama, your political philosophies represent everything that is wrong with our country. You represent the culture of government dependence instead of self reliance; Entitlement mentality instead of personal achievement; Penalization of the successful to reward the unmotivated; Political correctness instead of open mindedness and open debate. If you are successful, you may preside over the final transformation of America from being the greatest and most self-reliant culture on earth, to just another country of whiners and wimps, who sit around looking to the government to solve their problems. Like all of western Europe. All countries on the decline. All countries that, because of liberal socialistic mentalities, have a little less to offer mankind every year.

God help us...

Cory Miller

just a ordinary, extraordinary American, the way a lot of Americans used to be.

P.S. Yes, Mr. Obama, I am a real American... www.cmillerdrilling.com

Judging a Man by the Company He Keeps: Obama's Endorsements Should Give Us Cause to Worry

Gov. Sarah asked what it was about Sen. Obama that these radical are attracted to?

Lets look ar some of the Obama supporters now.

Hamas first endorsed the candidObama in April when Hamas political adviser Ahmed Yousef said the Mideast terrorist group supports Obama's foreign policy positions.

"We don't mind -- actually we like Mr. Obama. We hope he will [win] the election and I do believe he is like John Kennedy, great man with great principle, and he has a vision to change America to make it in a position to lead the world community but not with domination and arrogance," Yousef told conservative radio host John Batchelor and WorldNetDaily reporter Aaron Klein.

Hamas yanked its support in June when Obama made a pro-Israel speech to the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, Reuters reported. But last week Yousef told Batchelor and Klein that Hamas would send Obama a congratulatory letter "the moment that he will win the election."

Obama has also gotten a nod of approval from Iran.

The country's parliament speaker said on Oct. 22 that Iran would prefer an Obama presidency. "We are leaning more in favor of Barack Obama because he is more flexible and rational, even though we know American policy will not change that much," Ali Larijani told Agence France-Presse.

Chosun Shinbo, a newspaper based in Japan that is a mouthpiece for the North Korean government, wrote in an editorial in June: "We will see a better relationship between the U.S. and the Korean Peninsula with Obama, who sternly criticizes Bush and who would meet the leader of Chosun without pre-conditions."

In February, Investors Business Daily reported that while not endorsing Obama, Colombian guerilla terrorist organization FARC's chieftain Raul Reyes has said he wants to see him in the White House. He told supporters that he met "two gringos" who said "the new president of their country will be Obama and that they are interested in your compatriots. Obama will not support "Plan Colombia" nor will he sign the TLC (Free Trade Agreement)." Plan Colombia is the U.S. program funding the war on drugs and giving military support to the Colombian government.

Obama has even garnered the praises of Louis Farrakhan, leader of the Nation of Islam. "You are the instruments that God is going to use to bring about universal change, and that is why Barack has captured the youth. And he has involved young people in a political process that they didn't care anything about. That's a sign. When the Messiah speaks, the youth will hear, and the Messiah is absolutely speaking," Farrakhan said.

Fidel Castro has also jumped on the Obama bandwagon, saying Obama "without doubt is, from the social and human point, the most advanced candidate" running for the U.S. presidency, Reuters reported in May.

Redistribution of Wealth : Obama Speaks Out

Obama Bombshell Redistribution of Wealth Audio Uncovered
Listen to an audio interview Obama gave in 2001 with Chicago Public Radio WBEZ.FM. In this interview Obama discusses the best way to bring about a redistribution of wealth, how the Warren Supreme Court interpreted the law and the fact that it wasn't terribly radical.

During the discussion Obama says, "Generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties, says what the states can't do to you, says what the federal government can't do to you,but it doesn't say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf . . . because the civil rights movement became so court-focused, I think that there was a tendency to lose track of the political and community organizing and activities on the ground that are able to put together the actual coalitions of power through which you bring about redistributive change."

Why This Black Man will Not be Voting For Obama

This has been checked on Snopes, and was written by Mr. Brown.  Check out http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/huntleybrown.asp.

Coincidence is when God chooses to remain anonymous.

Why I Can't Vote For Obama By Huntley Brown
Dear Friends,
A few months ago I was asked for my perspective on Obama, I sent out an e-mail with a few points. With the election just around the corner I decided to complete my perspective. Those of you on my e-list have seen some of this before but it's worth repeating...
First I must say whoever wins the election will have my prayer support. Obama needs to be commended for his accomplishments but I need to explain why I will not be voting for him.
Many of my friends process their identity through their blackness. I process my identity through Christ. Being a Christian (a Christ follower) means He leads I follow. I can't dictate the terms He does because He is the leader.
I can't vote black because I am black; I have to vote Christian because that's who I am.. Christian first, black second.  Neither should anyone from the other ethnic groups vote because of ethnicity. 200 years from now I won't be asked if I was black or white. I will be asked if I knew Jesus and accepted Him as Lord and Savior.
In an election there are many issues to consider but when a society gets abortion, same-sex marriage, embryonic stem-cell research, human cloning to name a few, wrong, economic concerns will soon not matter.
We need to follow Martin Luther King's words, don't judge someone by the color of his skin but by the content of their character. I don't know Obama so all I can go off is his voting record. His voting record earned him the title of the most liberal senator in the US Senate in 2007.
NATIONAL JOURNAL: Obama: Most Liberal Senator in 2007 (01/31/2008)
To beat Ted Kennedy and Hillary Clinton as the most liberal senator, takes some doing. Obama accomplished this feat in 2 short years. I wonder what would happen to America if he had four years to work with.
There is a reason Planned Parenthood gives him a 100 % rating.
There is a reason the homosexual community supports him.
There is a reason Ahmadinejad, Chavez, Castro, Hamas etc. love him.
There is a reason he said he would nominate liberal judges to the Supreme Court
There is a reason he voted against the infanticide bill.
There is a reason he voted No on the constitutional ban of same-sex marriage.
There is a reason he voted No on banning partial birth abortion
There is a reason he voted No on confirming Justices Roberts and Alito. These two judges are conservatives and they have since overturned partial birth abortion. The same practice Obama wanted to continue.
Lets take a look at the practice he wanted to continue.
The 5 Step Partial Birth Abortion procedures
        A. Guided by ultrasound, the abortionist grabs the baby's leg with forceps. (Remember this is a live baby)
        B. The baby's leg is pulled out into the birth canal .
        C. The abortionist delivers the baby's entire body, except for the head.
        D. The abortionist jams scissors into the baby's skull. The scissors are then opened to enlarge the hole.
        E. The scissors are removed and a suction catheter is inserted. The child's brains are sucked out, causing the skull to collapse. The dead baby is then removed.   God help him.

There is a reason Obama opposed the parental notification law.
Think about this:  You can't give a kid an aspirin without parental notification but that same kid can have an abortion without parental notification. This is insane.

There is a reason he went to Jeremiah Wright's church for 20 years.
Obama tells us he has good judgment but he sat under Jeremiah Wright teaching for 20 years. Now he is condemning Wright's sermons. I wonder why now?   Obama said Jeremiah Wright led him to the Lord and discipled him.  A disciple is one in training. Jesus told us in Matthew 28:19 - 20 "Go and make disciples of all nations." This means reproduce yourself. Teach people to think like you, walk like you; talk like you believe what you believe etc. The question I have is what did Jeremiah Wright teach him?

Would you support a White President who went to a church which has tenets that said they have a church like that?
        1. Commitment to the White Community
        2. Commitment to the White Family
        3. Adherence to the White Work Ethic
        4. Pledge to make the fruits of all developing and acquired skills available to the White Community.
        5. Pledge to Allocate Regularly, a Portion of Personal Resources for Strengthening and Supporting White Institutions
        6. Pledge allegiance to all White leadership who espouse and embrace the White Value System
        7. Personal commitment to embracement of the White Value System.
Would you support a President who went to a church like that?  Just change the word from white to black and you have the tenets of Obama's former church.   If President Bush was a member of a church like this, he would be called a racist. Jessie Jackson and Al Sharpton would have been marching outside.
This kind of church is a racist church. Obama did not wake up after 20 years and just discovered he went to a racist church.  The church can't be about race.  Jesus did not come for any particular race. He came for the whole world.
A church can't have a value system based on race. The churches value system has to be based on biblical mandate. It does not matter if its a white church or a black church it's still wrong.  Anyone from either race that attends a church like this would never get my vote.
Obama's former Pastor Jeremiah Wright is a disciple of liberal theologian James Cone, author of the 1970 book A Black Theology of Liberation. Cone once wrote: "Black theology refuses to accept a God who is not identified totally with the goals of the black community. If God is not for us and against white people, then he is a murderer, and we had better kill him."  Cone is the man Obama's mentor looks up to. Does Obama believe this?
So what does all this mean for the nation?  In the past when the Lord brought someone with the beliefs of Obama to lead a nation it meant one thing - judgment.
Read 1 Samuel 8 when Israel asked for a king. First God says in 1 Samuel 1:9 "Now listen to them; but warn them solemnly and let them know what the king who will reign over them will do."
        Then God says:
1 Samuel 1:18 " When that day comes, you will cry out for relief from the king you have chosen, and the LORD will not answer you in that day." 19 But the people refused to listen to Samuel. "No!" they said. "We want a king over us. 20 Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles."  21 When Samuel heard all that the people said, he repeated it before the LORD. 22 The LORD answered, "Listen to them and give them a king."
Here is what we know for sure.  God is not schizophrenic.   He would not tell one person to vote for Obama and one to vote for McCain.  As the scripture says, a city divided against itself cannot stand, so obviously many people are not hearing from God.
Maybe I am the one not hearing but I know God does not change and Obama contradicts many things I read in scripture so I doubt it.
For all my friends who are voting for Obama can you really look God in the face and say; Father based on your Word, I am voting for Obama even though I know he will continue the genocidal practice of partial birth abortion. He might have to nominate three or four Supreme Court justices, and I am sure he will be nominating liberal judges who will be making laws that are against You.  I also know he will continue to push for homosexual rights, even though you destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah for this.  I know I can look the other way because of the economy.
        I could not see Jesus agreeing with many of Obama's positions. Finally I have two questions for all my liberal friends.  Since we know someone's value system has to be placed on the nation;
        1. Whose value system should be placed on the nation.
        2.  Who should determine that this is the right value system for the nation?

Blessings,
Huntley Brown

A Tale...How One Young Political Activist Learned the Reality of Redistribution

Last week a friend of mine had the opportunity to witness something and when she shared it with me I thought,   'Wow, once again average Americans doing a great job of bringing attention to the true flaws in the Obama economic ideology.'

She had stopped to grab a bite to eat in one of those chain restaurant where the wait staff tend to wear lot's of "flair".  If you've ever seen the movie Office Space you might remember how Jennifer Anniston character, a server, was encouraged to express herself by pinning pithy buttons all over her uniform. Well this was one of those places...

My friend sat by herself reading over a report to familiarize herself with some data before her next meeting. She was waiting while her food was being prepared. She glanced up to see another lone diner enter and returned to her report as he was led to his seat  ..a table a few feet away.

A few moments later the server brought her food and she began to eat. She was cutting into her chicken when she overheard another server now speaking with the male diner. She thought it was unusual but she could have sworn she heard them discussing politics. She had overheard the diner say..." I see by your button that you are an Obama supporter."

The diner then sat quietly listening as the server boasted that he was a strong Obama supporter. The diner nodded and said " Well, it has been an interesting election" he paused and sipped from his drink before continuing. " So tell me what is it about Obama that really made you decide to support him?" His tone was even and calm. He appeared curious not confrontational.  My friend admitted that she was interested in hearing more and she strained to hear what followed but as it turned out she did not have to make much effort since the server responded with a rather strong voice --so strong in fact that a couple sitting in a booth across the dining hall looked up towards him as he spoke.

The server who appeared to be of college age said " Obama is more in touch with America- he will restore the American dream." my friend peaked up to see the reaction of the man who listened as he stirred sugar into his tea. " The American dream. Yes, that is important" he conceded. " How do you think Obama will do that exactly?"

The server began saying how he was going to change the tax structure to make things more fair. How Obama would look after the 'have nots' rather than the 'haves'.

The diner nodded as he listened to the server, acknowledging that he was listening. When the server quit speaking the diner smiled and asked " So, you don't mind this talk about him redistributing the wealth?"  The server laughed and said " No, I am all for it. It is only fair. McBush won't stick it to the guys with the money.

The diner leaned back a bit and tilted his head to the side as he listened. When the server finished his point the diner probed further. " So you don't think his policies would adversely affect the economy then?"  The server shook his head and said with confidence " No, Obama is all about building the economy from the bottom up."

" Well, I hope you are right' said the diner " if Mr Obama is elected we will all be in for a BIG change"   The server smiled victoriously and said " Yeah, he's the man. He will change things for sure. He will make things good for us little guys and the rich won't be getting richer."

The diner smiled and changed the subject- he ordered his meal and the server returned to the kitchen to put his order in. My friend had to kill some time before her next appointment so she lingered after her meal was completed she returned to reviewing her report.

The male diner who sat a few feet finished his meal quickly and asked for the check. When the server came the diner asked him. " Hey, when I came in to eat, I saw a homeless guy sitting on the curb. Is he still there? "  The server said  "Oh yeah, that old dude is there everyday. He sleeps in the ally behind the restaurant."

The diner pulled out cash to pay the bill. " Will you need change ?" asked the server. My friend smiled to herself. Having waited tables she knew that the unspoken question was really " Can I keep the difference for my tip?"  The diner seemed unruffled and smoothly responded " No that is ok. I will take it but thank you."

The server dug into his apron pockets to get change, counting back 9 dollars and a few coins. He then watched as the diner scoped up the coins and slipped them into his pants pocket, then folded the bills and slipped them into his pocket as well.

The server then began to grow concerned. "Was your food alright?"

" Yes, very good." said the diner. After a moment the diner looked up at server who was still standing there and smiled again. " The food was great actually and so was the service. I enjoyed talking to you about Sen. Obama's economic policy too. I like what you said..time we help out the little guy." He stood up and slipped his jacket on " Since you don't have a problem with redistributing the wealth I am going to start now."

By now the server was getting red in the face..his brows furrowed together in confusion. " I was going to leave you the tip' said the diner " but I started thinking about what you said and then it hit me..I am going to redistribute the wealth too.  Why let Obama have all the fun.. The money I was going to give you - I think I will give to the Homeless guy out there. You have more money than he does and he needs some so I am going to give him your tip money."

The diner headed to the door and the server stood dazed. " Thank you again" said the diner as he headed out leaving the door swing behind him. The server ran to the window and started cursing " Damn he gave that old man my tip. What the ......" My friend started laughing... and when the server looked up she shrugged her shoulders .

" I am sorry' she muttered but then not being one to keep her thoughts to herself she said " I just couldn't help but wonder about this building the economy from the bottom up....Wonder how many people that homeless guy will be hiring anytime soon" Then seeing the distraught look on the servers face she said   Awww welcome to being a 'have" honey- it isn't all it is cracked up to be." She tipped her server and gathered her things and went to her next meeting.

The Downside of Tolerance: That Legalizing Gay Marriage Will Have Impact On Parental Rights

A concerned Parent:

Hello all,

For the time being, we are fortunate that my wife has the ability and desire to homeschool our two children without the state having control.  And hopefully this will remain the case, however, for many it is simply not a feasible option.

Please take a few minutes and watch this short video that shows one example of how devastating it will be in California if Prop 8 (protect marriage amendment) is defeated. Pass it along to family and friends and anyone concerned about the future of families in California. Even if you are not a resident of California, this is happening all across the country and should be a wake up call for complacent voters.

Attempts to Attack the Palin Effect: Left Wing Media Trying to Pit Working Women Against Palin Over Her Ward Robe?

This is more senseless use of media time when more important issues are at stake. I am a photographer. In my life I have worked behind the scenes with the fashion and movie industry and to some extent within the political scene.  This whole "news" story questioning Palins campaign wardrobe seems to me to be another attempt by the left wing media to stir up class warfair. They are attempting to CREATE a news story, CREATE a controversy..in short they are attempting to pit working women against Palin by stirring up what they hope will be wardrobe envy rather than cover substantive issues.

I have already read one woman post on a blog that she has to pay for her own clothes to go to work so why shouldn't Palin.  I say she is taking the media bait.

Let us be honest with ourselves. I can assure you that most of us ladies would not kick anyone one to the curb for offering to dress us and give us a makeover. All the more so if we had to be under the intense scrutiny of the media and world at large where public opinion is formed on first impressions and dressing for the job you want.

Palin being given the opportunity to wear a "new" (yet temporary) power wardrobe, paid for by the Republican Party and destined to be auctioned or given away for charity in no scandal. Palin is the only one of the four Presidential candidates that is not considered a millionaire so the party flipped the bill. No big deal. It is part of the cost of running for office in a media driven age where image and photogenic's are unfortunately too important to allow any detail of attire go to chance.

In my business the women I work with wear clothe that are far more expensive than what I or most American women can afford to wear. The attitude in Manhattan, Hollywood and the Washington Beltway is that image is everything which makes it tough for me when working in my industry at times.

I have long lamented how much more it costs to be a well heeled working woman when compared to the men I work with. Dressing for success when you are a woman tends to cost a great deal more. Season to season it changes as well. A man can get away with a 3 suits, 5 dress shirts, a sports jacket, 4 or 5 pairs of dress shoes, 4-5 belts and a large quantity of ties to give him a fresh new look everyday of the year. McCain, Obama, Biden can wear the same suite on every stop on the campaign trail. After a quick press, fresh shirt and a change of tie they are good to go ..Not so for women candidates.

One of the things I noted about Palin when I first started following her career almost 2 years ago, was that she dressed conservatively. Her style was that of the average working women in America. Evidently she only spent a moderate amount of money on her own clothes. She had some mix an match pieces and very few suits. She frequently campaigned in Alaska wearing snow pants and fleece. Her jewelry is modest as well. A polar bear pin, a flag pin and a black and cream bracelet that she wears with most outfits. Palin's personal wardrobe is representative of her frugal personality and reflects her modest use of the family budget. Palin's two favorite stores: A second hand clothing consignment store called The Closet and a place called Shoe Fly in Juno Alaska..Not designer racks.

Palin's personal frugality is indicative of her frugal mindset when it comes to running her personal house hold and how she approaches running the Government.

It is evident that she believes in cutting costs and minimizing expenses. This speaks well of her and her personal wardrobe is really a more accurate representation of her than the campaigns wardrobe. That said I understand why Palin needed to dress it up for the campaign. Lets face it - Image matters. Dressing for the Job you want is important. Palin has to look like a Power Player. All the Candidates need to and in a society that is increasingly judging candidates by their appearance over substance this is a sad fact that has to be accepted.

Lets get real ....The same elitist who offer their criticism of Palin for wearing these high dollar "borrowed' clothes would have poked fun at her for not dressing the part of a Washington power player and dismissed her for looking like a light weight had she met with foreign dignitaries wearing a consignment store suit from her personal wardrobe.

The elite media, who are the first to push for a candidate to look the part by creating the required professional image, are the same people who are so eager to point the finger at Palin. The hypocrisy of the media story, is that it infers that Sarah Palin somehow should not have allowed the Republican Party to sponsor a new ward robe for her to wear when on the road . Yet this is the same media that is so fond of using these words to describe a candidate : " They look Presidential"  and for Sarah Palin to cut mustard with the highly critical media she has to "Look like a Vice President".

But the height of hypocrisy is that these are the same elite's who we see at fashion week, or on the red carpet or at the after parties have no problem accepting the Goodie bags containing thousands of dollars of high fashion promo products at the awards simply for being part of an IN CROWD.

As a photographer and someone who at one time worked with media I guarantee that image whether you are a politician or a celebrity is considered, rightly or wrongly,  to be of utmost importance.

Does anyone question when celebrities on the red carpet get to wear dresses and jewelry that they did not pay for? No they say it is about image. Models frequently get to keep some of the clothe they wore for a shoot. No one screams it is unfair.
Palin will not keep the clothe. They will be given to charity. Personal I would not have a problem in seeing her keep them. I have seen some very rich spoiled celebrities get freebies and so for once it is a working class woman. If I had the chance to get a make over and some new clothes I would jump on it. Just because someone has not offered that to me does not mean I would deny her the opportunity.

Enough media hypocrisy, enough envy, enough wasted time on a story with no legitimate legs. Hey lets talk about the $68,000,000.00 questionable donations from foreign sources given to the Obama campaign... Oh yeah that won't work ...The media at large is more interested in are trying to help him secure a Nov. win by running rag pieces on Gov. Palin, and Cindy McCain.

Joe Biden Speaks and Makes Voters Wonder: When Words Won't be Enough..Is Obama Really Ready ?

Speaking in Seattle on Sunday, Biden said he could guarantee that the world will want to find out if Obama is up to the job....

"Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking," Biden said.

"Remember I said it standing here. if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy. And he's gonna have to make some really tough -- I don't know what the decision's gonna be, but I promise you it will occur. As a student of history and having served with seven presidents, I guarantee you it's gonna happen," Biden continued.
